German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue

German Shorthaired Pointer RescueThere are many German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue organizations that you can go to if you are interested in adopting this breed of dog. I always encourage trying to get a dog from a rescue. There are many benefits. The obvious one is that you are saving a dogs life (because your adoption of a dog opens a spot for another dog in the rescue!). Less obvious is that the dog rescue group should be able to give you an idea of the dogs temperament and medical condition. Knowing this information can be very helpful when getting a dog.

I urge you to give a great deal of thought to which breed of dog is right for you. If you are interested in this breed in particular and are confident that it is the right breed for you, that's great, go ahead and get in touch with the nearest rescue group. If you are not sure, be sure to read more about German Shorthaired Pointers and maybe a few other breeds as well. Take your time and get the best breed for you!

We have recently sent emails to several Shorthaired Pointer Rescues requesting interviews and more information about the dog rescues. More information will be posted here once we receive responses.
