The Norwich Terrier Dog Breed

The Norwich Terrier Dog Breed is one of the Most Popular Dog Breeds. They originated in England and were used for hunting vermin and for bolting foxes

Size and Appearance

This small terrier stands about 10 inches (25cm) and weighs 10-12 pounds.

Their medium length coats are wiry and they shed very little. Their normal colors are red, wheaten, black and tan or grizzle.

Their heads are rounded and feature small, oval eyes with medium sized erect ears

Personality and Temperament

This is a sensitive breed of dog that has a long memory for experiences that it did not like. Aside from this they are like larger terriers that are individualistic, strong willed and happy.

Unlike other Terrier Dog Breeds they do not bark a lot and they do not require a lot of exercise.

No matter how much you train this breed you have to be very vigilant of its desire to chase small animals. They are a danger to themselves when they are off leash.

Overall this is a good breed in homes with children and other pets. In fact they enjoy companionship with children. Pet mice or pet rats better not get loose though – they’ll be history!

This breed of dog lives 12 to 14 years old.
